Colorado Waterfalls and Hot Springs

Join hiker, soaker, and author Susan Joy Paul for a presentation about Colorado waterfall and hot springs hikes.

Colorado is more than mountains. It's also the source of more major rivers than any other state! That's why Colorado is known as the Mother of Rivers.

As they flow downhill, the rivers fork into streams and creeks, and the many waterways -- coupled with Colorado’s rugged topography -- provide a perfect landscape for falling water, in the form of waterfalls. A lot of water flows across our state, and there's plenty down below, too, bubbling to the surface as hot springs. All those waterfalls and hot springs can mean just one thing: hot springs and waterfall hikes for all!

Susan has hiked to more than 100 waterfalls and soaked at more than 40 hot springs. She documents her experiences in Falcon Guides guidebooks.

This presentation will highlight eight hot springs hikes that are free, legal, and open to the public, plus sixteen waterfall hikes you can do in the same areas. Join us for this slideshow presentation in the Red Rocks Room.

$5 per person, reservations required.
