Earth Science for Teens
The world around us is filled with mystery and wonder. Through the power of science, we are able to describe why and how the Earth acts from large scale phenomena like the continents moving to small scale of how rain becomes snow. Join our Education Specialist Mike Bideau in this class geared towards teenagers (kids aged 10 through 14) that includes learning new things, performing an experiment, and encourages collaboration between young scientists. All classes will follow the 2020 Colorado Academic Standards for Middle School Earth Sciences.
The first class will be on Plate Tectonics! We will be discussing how the continents got to their locations they exist in today, why they move, and what happens when we are on a boundary of two plates!
