Archaeology is the study of the people who came before us. How they ate, how they interacted, how they lived. Come out to the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center for a fun day full of archaeology! The Pikes Peak Chapter of the Colorado Archaeological Society will have stations set up around the Visitor Center for kids of all ages to explore pottery, rock art, corn grinding, and so much more! Throughout the day there will be presentations in our Red Rocks Room on specific archaeological topics ranging from lost structures in the park to ancient tools. There is literally something for everyone! This day will be interactive, educational, and FREE! So come have a great time with us!!
