
Civilian Conservation Corps in Garden of the Gods
The Civilian Conservation Corps was created by Roosevelt’s Works Progress Administration in 1933 to rebuild America’s infrastructure help put her young men back to work during the Great Depression. Colorado Springs hosted three camps of these hard-working ruffians between 1935-1941. Come learn about their struggles, their labors, and their lasting legacy here in the Garden of the Gods Park. This program lasts 30-45 minutes.
