Bird Walk
Garden of the Gods Park is a part of the Colorado Birding Trail assuring a good location for a wide variety of birds. A crossroads of six different ecosystems helps bring a diversity of possible sightings. We will follow the Gateway Trail to the Central Garden Trail looping back through the Dakota Trail. Optics recommended and binoculars available to borrow. Some possible sightings may include: Woodhouse’s scrub jay, spotted towhee, bushtits, prairie falcons, canyon wrens, magpies, ravens, red-tail hawks, Townsend’s solitaire and many more.
- Meet outside, alcove area near the American Flagpole on the North side of the building
- Dress accordingly for weather, bring water, and wear sturdy shoes
