Lithics – Stone Tools and Stone Weapons

Many years ago Native people around the world relied on their ability to make tools and weapons from stone. These were often the only items left behind when people moved on or discovered new technologies. Stone does not deteriorate like wood or leather items when left out in the weather. We will view examples, learn how these objects were made and how they were utilized. Most of the examples were recently created and some will be passed around among the class participants. Presented by the Pikes Peak Chapter of the Colorado Archaeological Society.
