Wednesday Morning Guided Nature Walk

Wednesday morning guided walks will introduce you to the Park. Leave from the Visitor and Nature Center and follow the paved Gateway Trail to the Central Garden.  Participants are encouraged to continue exploring the Central Garden or may return to the Visitor Center with the guide. 

  • Average time is 60 minutes, but may vary
  • Distance is just about 1 mile along pave, easy trail that is stroller friendly
  • The walk starts outside the Visitor and Nature Center at the alcove by the American flagpole
  • Additional parking is available across the street in Parking Lot #1, please arrive early to give yourself time to find parking
  • Weather dependent (call 719-634-6666 for weather closure status)
