Engage and Explore

The splendor of the Garden of the Gods is the perfect place to connect students with the wonder of the natural world. Our certified guides and experienced volunteer docents lead your class on an eye-opening outdoor exploration. Chose an area of emphasis from our amazing geology, unique ecology, and fascinating history or opt for a broad overview touching on all three topics. Field trip programs align with Colorado State K-12 STEM standards for Life Science and Earth & Space Science.

  • The Spring 2025 school program season is March 11 thru May 8. No programs the week of March 23-30 (Spring Break).
  • Field trips run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • 10:00 AM start time. Additional session on Thursdays starting at 12:00 PM.
  • Field trips run approximately 90 minutes.
  • School programs are all-outdoors. Students should bring water and dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Field trips can stay on paved, ADA compliant trails at teacher’s request.
  • Restroom facilities are available at start/end of program route.
  • Tuition is $2.00 per person (students, chaperones, teachers, etc.). Tuition waiver available for El Paso County, Colorado public schools qualified for Title I assistance.
  • All field trips begin at the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature where staff will escort you into the park.
