Compass Basics
Have you ever wondered how to use a compass? Maybe how to find yourself on a map? Join the Visitor Center Program Department on our Compass Basics program! This program is split into two parts all done in the same 2 hours. We will start in the classroom, where we will learn the parts of a compass. Then we shall learn how to use the compass. Once we feel comfortable, we will head out into the Garden of the Gods park to use our newly learned compass skills on the trail! For the walk portion of the class, be sure to bring water, a backpack, and a sweatshirt for the weather!
