Galactic Gala

Join us for an after-hours, lights-out star party in our parking lot and indoors!  October 1st is both Astronomy Day and International Look at the Moon Night! To help celebrate we have several groups coming out! The Colorado Springs Astronomical Society will be here with telescopes galore, with each telescope facing a different celestial body in the night sky.  MESO (Mobile Earth and Space Observatory) will be set up with interactive activities and their actual mobile observatory! And Garden of the Gods Park will have touch tables on nocturnal animals and the geology of Mars! Come out and learn about the stars, planets, comets, and more that light up our night sky! This program is FREE and open to the public! Bring your kids, your grandparents, and your friends!

*If we have bad weather, we will have an indoor activity!
