Friday Afternoon Guided Nature Walk

Friday afternoon guided walks will introduce you to the Park. Leave from the Visitor and Nature Center and follow the mostly paved Gateway Trail to the Central Garden. Participants are encouraged to continue exploring the Central Garden or may return to the Visitor Center with the guide. The walk starts outside the Visitor and Nature Center at the alcove by the American flagpole.

  • Topic focus varies depending on your guide and group participation
  • Average time is 60 minutes
  • Distance is about 1 mile (stroller friendly)
  • Weather dependent (call 719-634-6666 for weather closure status)
