Recently, the GoG had the immense honor of being featured in Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best list, which is already incredible on its own, but it gets better: we were ranked number 9….in the WORLD. That’s higher than Central Park in New York City, Paris’ Eiffel Tower, and even Machu Picchu! Who knew that this humble city park in the heart of Colorado Springs could be a worldwide travel destination ahead of some Wonders of the World! Needless to say, we are blown away by the support and recognition, and we hope that this is the start of an upward journey for us!
For those unaware, Tripadvisor is the industry leader in travel recommendations, vacation rentals, and hotel bookings, so to be recognized by such a major outlet is a pretty big deal for us, as well as the city of Colorado Springs as whole! As we all know, there is so much that this city and the Pikes Peak region have to offer, and a spotlight like this is a huge opportunity to show travelers around the world just that.
Shout-out to KidsOutAndAbout!
Speaking of regional recognition, the accolades don’t stop there as just last month, we made it to the number 5 spot on the KidsOutAndAbout’s Top 21 Places to Take Kids in Denver list! Seeing as we’re just a short drive from the state capitol, the GoG is well worth the commute, and there’s plenty for the family to do. And while you’re perusing the list, be sure to take a look at some of the other lovely locations who made it there with us!
Now, this list normally covers the top 20 destinations around the greater Denver area as voted on by the public. This year, however, KidsOutAndAbout is celebrating their 21st birthday, so they bumped their top 20 list up to 21! The go-to place for events and travel recommendations in the Denver area, KidsOutandAbout is a great resource for anyone looking for a fun way to spend a day (or weekend) out in Colorado! And of course: happy birthday!
What a summer! The past few months have been a whirlwind of excitement here at the GoG, and we aren’t slowing down yet! Certainly, none of this would have been possible without all of the support from our guests, partners, volunteers, staff, and community. Thank you all, and we could not be more grateful!
Well that’s it for now, but stay tuned to hear more about what’s happening in and around the GoG. Until next time!
